Tessa Xuan, Executive Director
Tessa Xuan joined the Chinese Chamber as its Executive Director beginning in January 2016. Born in Lexington, KY and raised in Ohio, Tessa is a 2nd generation Chinese American with family originally from Beijing and Pujiang County (in the Zhejiang Province). She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from the Ohio State University with 2 minors in Neuroscience and International Relations & Diplomacy. After 2 internships, Tessa joined Procter & Gamble in 2012 working in Research & Development, uncovering consumer insights and developing new Downy brand products in North America & Latin America.
Tessa is passionate about giving back to the Cincinnati Asian American community, having served in board positions or leadership positions with the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Cincinnati chapter, Asian Community Alliance, Asian Food Fest, and the P&G Asian Pacific American employee network. She founded the first and only group for Asian female professionals in Cincinnati and also volunteers with the Cincinnati Preschool Promise initiative. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 younger siblings and meeting new people. She looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of the Chinese Chamber and its members.
Sabari Subramanian, Intern
Sabari Subramanian is a rising 2nd Year Student at the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business double majoring in Finance and International Business with a minor in Business Analytics. Sabari is a founding member of Little Drops Inc., a non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising funds for educational resources for children from financially underprivileged communities in India and encourage them to reach their fullest potential. He serves as Treasurer of UC Junoon, the University of Cincinnati’s premiere South Asian Acapella group, as well as Treasurer of YesPlus at UC which aims to create a stress-free and violence-free living through yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques.
Sabari served on the Youth Leadership Team for the Asian Community Alliance during his senior year of high school and works as a Mathematics Instructor at Mathnasium Learning Center in Blue Ash, OH. He is looking forward to assisting in the day-to-day activities of the Chinese Chamber and seeing how he can best use his skills and background to better serve its members.
