Join the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce for a lunch seminar on Tuesday, December 12th featuring Ohio economic development expert Tao Zhang (International Investment Specialist, JobsOhio) and experienced U.S.-China business attorney Haifeng Hong (Member, Frost Brown Todd LLC). This event will examine the overall landscape of Chinese inbound investment into the U.S. and Ohio in recent years, in terms of volume, geography and industries. Our speakers will discuss opportunities and challenges for Chinese investment projects in terms of legal, regulatory, and cultural aspects.
Attendees will also learn about how to work with Chinese investment projects/companies as suppliers, vendors, or business partners – and get a preview of the Chinese Chamber’s initiatives to attract more inbound Chinese investment to the Greater Cincinnati region.
Haifeng Hong Biography:
Mr. Hong is a Member in the International Services Group at Frost Brown Todd. He focuses his practice on U.S. corporate and commercial laws, advising clients with a variety of corporate and business matters such as business formation, corporate governance, M&A, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, intellectual property, and cross-border investment and transactions.
His Chinese and Asian clients include multinational corporations, large publicly traded companies, medium and small sized companies (including start-ups) and individuals doing business in the U.S. He also assists U.S. businesses with their projects in China and Asia, including subsidiaries overseas, business alliances, outsourcing, product distributorship, franchise, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance issues.
Mr. Hong graduated from Washington University School of Law, with both a J.D. and LL.M in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. In China, he graduated from Shanghai University School of Law, with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree.
